default Discrimination with higher secondary

Post by icsuresh on Mon Aug 20, 2012 10:15 pm

As far as the working hours of a junior Teacher in VHSE it is quite more than that of the junior teacher in HSE. More over it is equal to the working hours of a Senior teacher in HSE. The discriminatory treatment of employee working in equal Department with different status, with different designation and payment should be avoided. VHSE is not an area to be avoided. React against this kind of discrepancies and anomalies. Is it agodd practice?

Really this is a discrimination. I think someone has filed a case against this and so VHSE Special rule has been amended to clarify the difference between work and hour

I expect someone else may post more about it

It seems as a discrimination when we compare us with higher secondary staff. But in broad sense we are teachers and have to serve all periods in a day in case of necessity. More over attending in the class will not be the only duty of teachers, they have to spend remaining periods for well being of students and for that purpose the govt gives them salary. It will not be a matter whether a group of teacher works 10 or 15 minutes more than another group in class, actually they have to engage in student oriented activities from 8:30 to 5 which is actual time VHSE.

In my school the vocational teacher only takes 8 hrs theory in a week and the vocational instructor is engaged in all 24 hrs of practical, the vocational teacher never takes a step to lab but paid as gazatted and the poor instructor(I don't know he teaches students in all hour, but engaging students) receives as only HSA

So discrimination is there. But it is felt as when we compare with others,I have taught students in parallel college for just Rs 50/ and less than it in 2000. When I compare that stage of me with present what will be the result?
